One smell and I was back at a high school bonfire on a cold fall night.

The embers hit first — warm, smoky, unmistakably bonfire. Then comes the leather and that boyfriend smell. You know the one. He just came from the game, knew he was going to see you at the bonfire afterward, and put on a little cologne just for you.

And here’s the thing: it doesn’t smell like a candle trying to smell like men’s cologne. It smells like him wearing it — mixed with his leather jacket, cold fall air and smoke from the fire.

For $12, I wasn’t expecting a candle to bring back an entire October night from high school. But apparently that’s what we’re doing here. 😂

THE SURPRISE

After stepping outside and coming back in, the first thing that hit me was something completely different:

“Old bookstore. Old leather-bound books.”

That may be my favorite part of this candle. It starts out as bonfire-and-leather nostalgia, but once it settles into the room, it becomes deeper, warmer and almost bookish.

And the wood wick actually crackles — not just once or twice. It keeps crackling while it burns, which makes the whole thing even better.

WHY I LOVE IT

This candle does something I really want a fall candle to do: it takes me somewhere.

For me, it’s a high school bonfire on a chilly fall night — wood smoke, a leather jacket, music playing somewhere nearby and somebody wearing really good cologne.

It’s warm and nostalgic without smelling artificial, and the crackling wood wick adds to the whole experience. At $12, this one feels like a find.

🔥 BURN WORTHY VERDICT

Absolutely. Best Nostalgic Fall Candle.

And my official advice from the test sheet still stands:

“You’ll want to buy more than one.”
